The Zimmermann telegram was known as a secret communication telegram which was issued from the Foreign Office of Germany in the year 1917 and in this letter Germany proposed for an alliance with Mexico. It was written in the telegram that if the United States entered World War 1, then Mexico will be able to recover Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. It was the British Intelligence unit that intercepted this letter.  The revelations made in this telegram enraged Americans and they were further enraged when the foreign secretary of Germany during that time, Arthur Zimmermann admitted publicly that the telegram which he addressed to Mexico was genuine and he meant whatever there was written in the telegram. The intelligence interception from Britain was known to be among the most significant achievements of British intelligence during world war 1. The message in the telegram was coded and dispatched by Arthur Zimmermann and it was sent to the German ambassador who was there in Mexico. The Germans presumed that this telegram will almost certainly lead to the war of Germany with the United States.
