With the route traced by Colombus, hundreds of Spanish traveled to the New World mainly for the pursuit of wealth but many of them once in land remained to establish colonies. By 1500s other nations summed up to this but the Spanish colonization in the Americas had already seized pretty much of north, central and southern America.
