The battle of Stalingrad was a  turning point on the eastern front against the Soviets. The battle of Stalingrad saw about 1 million Nazi troops captured and taken prisoner. The battle was a major Soviet victory which also would improve moral for the Soviet soldiers which by then moral was most likely low. The battle ended with a major Soviet win that most likely caused the failure of the war with the Soviet Union.
