Short Answer from my point of view

I think Social studies are very important subjects or areas in mankind. In my opinion it may be as well the base of a successful society. They are important because they explain how to adapt to the modern world and the continuous globalization sorrounding it. The development of a way of thinking is a product of the understanding a person's origins which are studied in this particular area which isn't just conformed by the studies of economics, sociology, history and politics, but by many other smaller areas within it, like psychology or even linguistics for example.
