Top Scores (A-B) - The top scoring students will do the following: • Provide an answer in one well-developed paragraph that is at least three sentences long.
• Explain the concept of self-interest and that decisions of what people choose to provide a society (such as types of products that they choose to produce) will not be based on what is best for society but what will profit the individual and help him/her to accomplish their economic goals and make the most money.

Is there anyone that wants to help me understand this some? Im not completely understanding it, its a bit confusing to me.
Please do not answer if your going to try and get the points, I understand that but i seriously need help with this.
