Definition

The Cold War was a series of basically, flex contests, contended by the United States and the Soviet Union. Both had large stocks of missiles & other nuclear weapons, and were ready to fire them at minute's notice. The Cold War conflict never left the world the same, and showed how deadly two world superpowers could be.

Beliefs

Soviet Union: Russia had been a poor state for many peasants & farmers for years, with no advancement in technology during the Industrial Revolution or anything to come at level with their fellow European nations. Then, the Communist ideals came to power, promising everyone a fairer government, and they took hold. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union defended their economic belief of communism.

US: The United States hated communism with a passion. They saw it as a threat to America's society, and that communism would spread across the world if they didn't do something about it. During the Cold War, the U.S. opposed the Soviet Union's belief of communism and defended their belief of capitalism.
