African Americans and Native Americans still struggle with poverty. Many Native Americans continue to live on reservations in meager housing, their educational opportunites are lacking which limits the types of Jobs they can obtain. With the ability for reservations to have casinos this has started to change. Native Americans still lack the education to obtain a high-paying job, they are discriminated against based on their heritage. African Americans like native Amerians often lack the education to move up within a workforce to better themselves. They become stuck in a cycle of not being able to provide for their families or afford opportunities for higher education. less access to tax-advantaged forms of savings,  households have fewer and are in greater need of personal savings than their white counterparts and have fewer assets. In addition the borrowing rate or interest rate often charged to African Americans is higher due to their credit scores being lower.
