Economic:

Unemployment rate decreased in the United States

During WW2, the U.S. needed produced goods in massive quantities to support the war effort and it led to the government employing many people to do so.

This led to the unemployment rate dropping below the 13% it was at and all the way to 1.2% in 1944.

Social:

Minorities were empowered.

Women and Native American and African Americans, fought in the U.S. Army during the war and when they came back, began to demand better treatment on account of having fought for the country. This led to the emergence of the Civil Rights Movement that helped bring about more equality in the United States.

Political:

Spread of Communism

After WW2, the Soviet Union became a world power and was bent on spreading Communism across the world. They sponsored Communist governments to take over most Eastern European countries and helped the Chinese and the Vietnamese establish Communism in their countries as well.
