"The Record" stated that the "National Human Rights Report" is "full of distortions and accusations on the human rights situation in more than 190 countries and regions, including China, but the United States has turned a blind eye to its terrible human rights situation and rarely mentioned it." The United States uses human rights issues as “political tools to destroy the image of other countries and seek its own strategic interests”; the US State Department publishes the “National Human Rights Report” year after year and accuses other countries’ human rights practices. “These actions completely expose the United States. Adopting a hypocritical attitude of double standards on human rights issues and malicious attempts to pursue hegemony under the guise of human rights."
