* 7. The Townshend Acts are passed which levied taxes and regulations on the colonists.
8. The Boston Tea party occurs. 342 chests of tea are dumped into Boston harbor by
colonists dressed as Native Americans.
9. Thomas Paine advocated for independence. Write "Common Sense".
