Indus valley river how were the cities laid out​

The cities of Indus Valley Civilization were organized for several reasons. Firstly, the cities were developed close to the Indus River because the Indus people needed river water to drink, wash and to irrigate their fields. They also made boats to travel up and down the rivers for commutation.
