Jane brought a very valuable painting to a store to have
it framed. In the process of framing the painting, the
store tore a hole in it, destroying its value. The owner
refused to pay Jane anything for the damage to the
painting, saying that Jane signed a contract that
explained the risks of having the painting framed. Jane
decided to take the owner to court.
