Drug and food safety has been getting much better since the 1900s. There is still some issues though.

It has resurfaced in a new form people who would have never smoked are now vaping.

Campaigns promoting sobriety and schools teaching children not only the problems that come with doing drugs/ smoking but also talking about more modern issues like vaping.

Modern day muck rakers are people on magazines trying to make light of a celeberties newest issue or videos "outing" famous people for their actions. We have these types of media about our current politicians too.
