Last of the Mohicans Video Discussion The following clip is from the film "Last of the Mohicans". The movie takes place during the French and Indian War. The SCENE portrays civilian American settlers being escorted by British soldiers and Colonial militia from a fort in a dangerous region of the Ohio Valley to a more secure location. They are ambushed by a tribe who is aligned with the French. The QUESTION: Do you think the British were ready for this kind of war? Why or why not? What might be the cost/ consequences of all this fighting when the war ends?
