Explanation: Starting way back when, the government had set styles of area you live in and things you own. If you have things that line up with one of those styles you have a class. Low income and less valuable assets put you in lower or 3rd class. Medium or steady income with basics and some room for luxury is Midddle or 2nd class. Lot of money coming in and fancy things is high class or 1st class citizens. Social groups are mainly described as groups certain people with similar customs or traditions only are a part of. So in some cases immigrants were put into social classes or groups or degrees based on race, income, and where they lived.
