The bourgeoisie was a new social class created by capitalism. According to many working class citizens, known as the proletariat, how did the bourgeoisie gain and maintain their wealth? The bourgeoisie made safe and slow investments in the growth of their own factories and the factories of their friends.
The bourgeoisie became and remained wealthy at the expense of the proletariat, who suffered in their factories.
The bourgeoisie took brave risks in the marketplace--luck and good timing made them richer and richer.
The bourgeoisie got rich by stealing money from the noble classes, then hid the money in special bank accounts.
