Darius I / Darius the Great was the fourth Persian king. To become a Persian King means to be the King of the Kings in the Achaemenid Empire. Darius ruled at the height of the royal glory. At that time, the kingdom covered most of West Asia, Central Asia, even as far as northern and north-eastern Africa such as Egypt, Libya, and Sudan.
