Why was the bill of rights added to the constitution and why was the ninth amendment included in the bill of rights?

The 9th Amendment was added to the bill of rights because it has other rights not listed in the Constitution that are given to the people of the United States. It was added to the Constitution to protect the people from the national government from having too much power.
