Germany got pulled in as a Austrian ally. Serbia called Russia for help and they entered the war then Russia was allied with France so France entered the war. Then because Germany declared war on Belgium to attack France Britain entered in the war because Germany attacked a neutral state. It made the war a whole lot bigger and more bloody and made it a "world war"
