How did political problems in england encourage the purtians to start a colony in north america

Puritans were severely restricted of religious freedoms/beliefs of how they believe the Church of England should be ran which is what led the Puritans to settle in the Americas. They were in search of religious freedom.

On april 20, 1814, the dethroned emperor left france for the isle of  elba, where he was exiled under the terms of the treaty of fontainebleau.napoleon  would be allowed to ruleelba, which had 12,000 inhabitants. perhaps cruelly, the treaty allowed him to retain the title "emperor."
