In the supreme court case of , the court held that the fourth amendment's guarantee against unreasonable searches is not violated by the suspicionless drug testing of all students choosing to participate in interscholastic athletics.

That case was in 1995. Students athelets in this district were required to submit to random drug testing if they want to participate in sport activities. The Supreme Court held that drug testing were reasonable, argumentation for that was the schools interest in preventing teenagers to use drug.
