Article iv, section 2 of the united states constitution states: a person charged in any state with treason, felony, or other crime, who shall flee from justice, and be found in another state, shall on demand of the executive authority of the state from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the state having jurisdiction of the crime. how does this section of the constitution develop the rule of law? it gives states the authority to get what they need from other states. it ensures that states respect the laws and law systems of other states. it makes it clear that certain crimes are more serious than others. it allows criminals to escape but only when a state is unjust.
