Ww1 was a war of politics, there was no real "bad guy" there was only your opponent and you. the morals and values of both sides was nearly the same. ww2 was a war of a clear wrong. there was one side, whose state policy was merciless slaughter and genocide, and the other side, who not that. ww1 was a (somewhat) limited war. ww2 was a total war where the entire economy and population of every nation was effected and in some way involved in the war.
