It is really urgent i belive it is c what does "waving the bloody shirt" have to do with the red shirts organization in the south? a) the red shirts received a red shirt each time they completed an act of violence or intimidation—and brought back the bloody shirt to prove it. b) the red shirts took their name as a symbol of pride in what republicans had used to try to defame them. c) the red shirts took their name as a symbol of unity with republicans, wearing the shirts to defame ex-confederates. ) the red shirts took their name in an effort to put a more positive "spin" on the "bloody shirt" claims of republicans. e) the red shirts took their name in memory of confederate losses in the civil war.
