Identify the leaders of the jerusalem church and the missionaries who first carry "the new way" into the larger world beyond the jewish capital.

There were few leaders among them that stood out in the book of Acts. The apostle Peter led the original Jerusalem church, which included members of the Palestinian Jewish community. Other than Peter, the only mention of other disciples James and John. Paul was a true gentile convert, who went on to introduce Christianity into Gentile/Roman communities.
