Think about how much the united states changed between the great depression and the postwar era, when the country had become an economic powerhouse. how did wwii influence and change the identity of the us through out the 1900’s and into the present? what are some positive and negative changes that occurred in the us in the years after

Us government increased its spending to  pump up the us economy. so much so  that the country finally emerged from the great depression.  the world  wars also  defining what it meant to be “american” and propelled us to be the leading global power.during the wars,  us fought against  nazis and took  the moral high ground — but then we had to live with the resulting ideology. unfortunately after wwii, it was also the time when the cold war period began.
