What are services that provided by the state government and local government?

education.social services.roads and transport.waste disposal.economic development.countywide planning and the environment.protecting the public.libraries.

Some of these services are: police protection, education, highway building and maintenance, welfare programs, and hospital and health care. These are all paid for by the taxpayers that live under these state and local governments.
