Andrew Jackson’s experience in law, public office and the military were the defining points that he would lead with democracy. Law had given him the strategies in looking into the human condition and tendency to see fairness and justice. His public service made him aware of the manner people regard what was beneficial to them and what really worked for them – some rights and privileges to be accepted as free citizens of their country. Finally, his military knowledge enabled him to see that decisions based on the majority rule fit well into the needs and desires of the common man.
