What is ambrose's view of the truman doctrine

It was fascinating to see the perspective of Ambrose with respect to the cool war. I think this is one of the main part where Kissinger and Ambrose are not on totally isolate islands. The principle purpose of the section that emerged to me was the inadequacy of the nuclear bomb to stop Russian advances in Europe.
