What was the challenge that the framers faced when setting out to write the constitution

One of the many challenges the Framers faced when setting out to write the Constitution was how to deal with state representation--with the larger states like Virginia wanting it to be based on state population size, and the smaller states wanting it to be a set figure. This was resolved through the Connecticut Compromise.
