His first child by Bathsheba died. His son Absalom rebelled against him. His son Adonijah r*ped his daughter. His son Absalom killed his other son, Adonijah. David's sin and its consequences

David sinned against God by committing adultery with Bathsheba and then sending her husband off to die. He then married Bathsheba.

God as not happy with this and first refused to save the life of the first born child of David and Bathsheba.

Adonijah then committed a sin by sleeping with his own sister and when Absalom heard of this, he killed Adonijah. He then went into exile and when he came back, stole the throne from David.

In conclusion, David's sin had consequences.
