The Normandy Invasion was not a key battle or event in the Pacific theater of the war. 

This Invasion was made in France, with allied forces from the US, Canada, France, and Britain. The allied forces inflicted one of the biggest defeats in the war to the German Forces.

Key Battles or events in the Pacific theater of the war include the attack on Pearl Harbour, the Battle of Iwo Jima, the Battle of Okinawa and the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
