Iwould like to know what does this phrases means, can you guys me? 1. nothing man creates is perfect and that includes government. 2. democracy has the potential to tyrannize even when it works.

1. It means that there is no perfect system of government that would solve all problems and help all people and make a great utopia or something similar. As with everything else, political ideas and governments are made by the people so they are bound to have loopholes or issues that would be bad for someone and that would exploit someone or anything similar.

2. This means that even democracy is not the best type of ideology because it can create many problems. For example, look at what happened in Nebraska and Kansas when they got popular sovereignty regarding slavery. The states were non-slave states and then people democratically chose to introduce slavery, which shows that democracy is not always all that good.
