The Dawes Plan (1924) from the American Charles Dawes and represented with USA, UK, Italy, Belgium and France was to let Weimar Germany pay the damages it caused on World War I via Treaty of Versailles. The problem with the plan was that it was short-termed. On 1923, troops from Belgium stayed at Germany’s most industrial area, the Ruhr.
