How did tokugawa rule affect the common people of japan

There were economic social and political effects of Tokugawa shogun rule on ordinally japan.
agriculture and transport network developed thus impacting positively on ordinally Japanese lives.
The system of governance was made robust  and the Samurai influence declined. the decline lead to accumulation of wealth by the commoners and modernisation of society.
The shoguns also introduced a standardized currency.
