The Truman Doctrine:

The Truman Doctrine was given by president Harry Truman. This change the way to look at foreign policy.  In this he tried to stop the influence of the Soviet Union.

After World War II, Truman was worried that if nations did not receive financial help which are located near the Soviet Union, they would become the part communist system.

Truman asked Congress to provide $400 million to countries located near the Soviet Union such as Greece and Turkey. Ultimately, this money would help to stabilize their economy and save the country to become the part of communism.
