First of all the marshall plan was an economic plan that sought to help the European countries affected by the second world war. In particular to their economies and infrastructure, however, some of those countries like the Soviet Union, Poland, and Hungary didn't accept the help. The marshall plan achieved to contribute to the recovery of those countries by increasing their GDP by almost half a point. However, it ended after a couple of years. Its's major beneficiaries were the united kingdom and France.
