Why was george washington chosen to lead the continental army

 George Washington had a successful career in the military serving in the French and Indian war,  as the chief colonial aid and commanding the american revolution war. He thus had an experience managing soldiers, hence the most suitable to do the job. he then progressed to become the usa president.
