The GI Bill stimulated the American economy by giving military veterans from World War II loans for housing and continuing their education. The low interest loans given to veterans gave them the ability to buy a house. Since more veterans were able to afford houses, this caused an increase in the amount of new home construction. Along with this, the educational opportunities that the government paid for through the GI Bill allowed veterans the chance to get training for jobs/careers. This stimulated the economy as well, as these veterans who used this funding for their education now had a unique set of skills that would allow them to work in several different industries.
