"They did this because they wanted to convert them to Islam's religion and to trade. they probably wrote stories and the people that study them probably found them". Arab merchants took Islamic beliefs to India, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Muslim traders carried Islam east to Malaysia and Indonesia. This trade helped Islam spread. There was a Mix of culture, and this included tolerance. The growth of cities blended cultures, and promoted trade. The growth also helped Islam spread, and made the Muslims very wealthy.
