How did hannibal lose the second punic war?

Hannibal first gets into Spain and then crossed over the Alps of southern France and Italy. Romans weren’t prepared for this attack on Italy. Hannibal on the other side was fully prepared to take account of Rome.  Carthaginians have trained their elephants to fight in a war.

This second Punic war happened to be so famous because of the blood oaths and vengeance, rivalry from two houses, and because of the war has passed down to father to his son. And two bloodlines were vying for the fate of world history.
