Visit the official Web site of the US Supreme Court. Look to the right side of the homepage for Recent Decisions. Click on one of Court's decisions made during this current term. Review the case to get the answers to the questions given below. Because the case may be lengthy, pay close attention to the first page or two and then skim the rest. Who are the parties in this case? Who is the petitioner(s)? Who is the respondent(s)? What is the case number? When was the case argued? When was it decided? List a few basic facts of the case. What was the main issue being decided? What is the holding of the case? Who delivered the majority opinion? Which Justices joined this opinion? Who delivered the dissenting opinion? Which Justices joined the dissenting opinion? List at least three cases that Justices in the majority referred to, and at least three cases that the Justices in the dissent cited. In a maximum of three paragraphs, explain which way you would have voted.
