How much money would you need today to live the rest of your life without having to work again (or at all)? You should note that you are really only thinking of yourself here. That would include any kids that you plan to take care of until they are 21 or so, but it does not include passing on large sums of money to them or anyone else. And it does not include taking care of all your friends and extended family members. Just you really (and perhaps kids and I suppose a spouse/partner). Major things to consider/research as you research this question. Be sure to specifically address each one. AFTER you have done your research, then you can provide the final dollar amount. 1) Housing (I am limiting you to a max of 2 houses)
2) Healthcare
3) Kids
4) Vehicles
5) Traveling expenses
6) Your hobbies
7) Education
8) Anything not on the list that you consider very important
