Ali buys a Honda from Wentworth, an Oregon dealership. He notices that the car feels like it’s unsteady when he drives especially if he goes above 25 mph. It turns out his car had a defective frame that rusted when it got wet until it broke apart. Ali continues driving the car and is driving on I-5 towards Salem going 55 mph when the car suddenly collapses. Ali wasn’t wearing his seatbelt so he is thrown from the car. Ali racks up $90,000 in medical bills, $9000 to repair his car, $500 to replace a laptop in his car and $500 from missing work. Ali is 20% at fault for the accident and 65% at fault for his own injuries. Ali bounces off the highway hitting a tree 400 feet away which then falls on another tree and that tree hits little Everett playing in his yard. Everett has $6000 in medical damages. A car driven by Kira gets hit by a piece of Ali’s car flying through the window and she also gets injured. She accumulates $5000 in medical bills, $4000 in car repairs and $1000 in missed work.
