I am assuming that x and the third angle of the triangle with 55 degrees are vertically opposite and not supplementary. Otherwise it can't be done with certainty. I have enclosed a diagrams to show what I mean. If this diagram is incorrect, leave a comment.

You need to remember 2 things.
1. Every triangle has 180 degrees.
2. Vertically opposite angles are equal.

call the vertex angle V
V + 55 + 55 = 180                  Add the two base angles together.
V + 110 = 180                        Subtract 110 from both sides
V = 180 - 110 
V = 70
