Slope-intercept is the same equation solved for y.  y = mx + b.  We begin by distributing the 3 into the parenthesis.  y - 5 = 3x - 6.  Now solve it for y by adding 5 to both sides and simplifying the right side.  y = 3x - 6 + 5  is y = 3x - 1.  Standard form is Ax + By = C, where x and y are on the same side and the constant, C, is on the other side of the equals sign.  If y = 3x - 1, then in standard form we have -3x + 1y = -1.  There you go!
