Vector a = 3i + mj, vector b = 2i - nj and vector c = ni + 8j. if a and b is perpendicular to each other and b and c are parallel to each other, find m and n.

will be zero.

so m=6/4i

m=3/2i

m=3i^{4}/2i

m = 3i^{3}/2

m= -3i/2 as(i^{4} =1, i^{3} = -i[/tex][/tex]

set each factor equal to 0

4x-3 = 0

2x-1 = 0

solve for x.

4x-3=0

4x=3

x= 3/4

solve for x. 

2x-1= 0

2x= 1

x= 1/2

your answer should be 1/2 is less than or equal to x and 3/4 is greater than or equal to x
