Factors of 8: 1, 2, 4, 8 (prime factorization) (2*2*2)

Least Common Factor of a,b is the smallest positive number that divisible by both a and b.

Multiply each factor the greatest number of times it occurs in either 4 or 8.

Then multiply by the numbers.

Multiply each numerator by the same amount needed to multiply its corresponding denominator to turn it into the Least Common Factor of 8.

For 1/4 multiply the denominator and numerator by the 2.

Since the denominator are equal, combine the fractions.

Add the numbers 2+5=7
