To find the area of the given traingle we have to draw perpendicular from point 'J' which meets the x axis at point (2,0) and let us named it 'P'.

As we know that area of triangle is

Here base 'b' will be LK and height 'h' will be JP

Here,

LK= 4 units JP=4 units

Area ={1}{2} *(4)*(4)

On solving the equation we get,

Area=8 Sq units
