They gave you: (2 , ?)    you know x is 2, and now you need to it's y-coordinate

2x - 3y = 4      Since you know x is 2, you can plug in 2 for "x" in the equation

2(2) - 3y = 4

4 - 3y = 4    Subtract 4 on both sides

4 - 4 - 3y = 4 - 4

-3y = 0        Divide -3 on both sides

y = 0            (2, 0)
